Sharebug is a crowdsourcing tool that allows people to easily and quickly provide details about what is going on around them, showing everything that was captured on a map, thus providing an additional dimension of information for its users.

We know that social networks are used to spread information to a large numbers of people. However, these information, disposed in linear fashion, on a timeline, quickly get lost by the constant stream of posts. Finding information in that way depends on luck, because the data presentation rules of regular social network platforms not always are focused on the needs or desires of the user.

From the mobile app, its possible to collect and send information containing image, text and geolocation. This data is classified from a list of subjects previously provided (which is constantly updated), making classification of any information posted easier.

Collected data is immediately available to other Sharebug users, which in addition to take note of what is happening around them, they can comment on what was posted and indicate their position. They can also share their posts (and others posts) in social networks, in order to provide broader exposure to what they consider to be of interest to their network.

As a result, users can have the latest information at their disposal about what is going on around them, in real time.
